About
This self-portrait represents my alter ego from 2013. It is one of the rare watercolors I have painted during my artistic life. It is made as a sample of the different identities that are manifested in oneself. It is limited to figurative mimesis and it shows a palette of warm tones with hints of aquamarine. I painted it under the influence of Russian Realism and I wanted to analyse the gaze as the most relevant factor of the work, assuming that while there are eyes on a painting, the reading begins and ends in them.
